The 2015 Iu Mien Scholarship Fund (IMSF) Scholarship Application is now available. 

All eligible Iu Mien high school seniors are encouraged to apply.

Siou Liouh Iu Mien Gueih Je Leiz-Nyeic Heix Committee members invite you to the second annual fundraiser.  Our mission is to educate, preserve and promote our Iu Mien unique culture, tradition and religion.

2013 Iu Mien Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner - Friday, June 21st

Please join us in honoring our 2013 scholarship recipients! The evening will feature an Iu Mien keynote speaker, traditional performances, and raffle prizes of Iu Mien arts and crafts.

When: Friday, June 21, 2013, 6 - 9 PM

Where: Lake Merritt United Methodist Church, 1330 Lakeshore Avenue, Oakland

Cost: $30 per person

*Parking available in basement garage via entrance on Lakeshore Avenue.

IMANC PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RECRUITMENT FOR 11/10/12 ELECTION

The current IMANC President, Mr. Kouichoy Saechao's term will end on December 31, 2012. The Iu Mien American National Coalition (IMANC) Election Committee is currenlty recruiting qualified candidates to fill the President position for the 2013-2016 service term.
 
Candidate requirements:
  • Must be an Iu Mien descendant who is at least 18 years old and resides in the United States.
  • Motived in bringing change for the betterment of our Iu Mien people by promoting, developing and advocating in issues that will enrich Iu Mien Communities.
  • Work and/or volunteer experience with the Iu Mien Community at large where an active leadership role was demonstrated, preferred.
  • At least one year experience in a President and/or Board member capacity with any Iu Mien organizations in the United States, preferred.
 
If you would like to nominate a qualified Iu Mien community member, please download and complete the attached form. Submit completed forms to one of the selection committee members per the instruction on the memo, by the application submission deadline October 10, 2012 @ 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. Qualified candidates will then be pooled and processed through IMANC’s presidential election procedure in which the Board members will elect the president on November 10, 2012.
 
Please pass the word out to the Iu Mien Community at your city of residency and refer to the attachment for further information.
